Once your site is live and you’ve announced it to the world, the next step is to make sure it’s optimized for search engines (also known as SEO). 

SEO helps to make sure when someone searches for what you do, they can quickly and easily find you. This article is meant to let you know what we already took care of for you, and next steps you may want to consider.

What’s Already Done

As part of your project, we’ve already completed basic Search Engine Optimization for your site, including:

• Page Titles: We used descriptive brand keywords to help increase ranking and visibility
• HTML Text Tags: We updated the backend settings that help search engines index your site content
• Meta Descriptions: We created keyword-heavy descriptions that will display under each page title in search results to drive clicks 
• Social Share Image: We designated a branded image to appear whenever your site is shared online
• Optimized Images: We resized all images and graphics to be optimized for fast site speed, which helps improve your SEO ranking.
• Image Keywords: If your images weren’t already named with SEO-friendly keywords, we renamed them for you to ensure search engines understand what your site is about.
• 404 Pages: We created a custom 404 page for your site and your blog, to ensure your site is able to handle missing and incorrect URLs without getting dinged by search engines.

If you’re interested in more advanced optimization, we recommend the following next steps:

1. Create an account in Google Analytics
2. Enter your Google Analytics ID in Showit
3. Add Property to Google Search Console

Note: Whenever you do a full redesign of your website, you may see some temporary drops in your SEO status initially, until search engines are able to identify and index all the new changes.
