While we do have a studio we work in some days, we’re mostly a remote team.
We have designers and writers working from all over the country, and partners & clients in Canada, New Zealand, the UK, and the Philippines.
All that to say, we have become REALLY good at working remotely, and these 5 apps are clutch to stay productive and effective across cities and time zones.
Asana is like our team’s COO—it’s where we keep track of all of our work. We always know who’s doing what, when things are due, and what to prioritize next.
Tip: Keep work chats, decisions, & reviews in Asana to keep everyone in the loop.
We use Loom to create & share screen recordings that quickly explain info. Very helpful for avoiding meetings & collaborating across time zones.
Tip: Add Loom videos into your Asana tasks to make assigning work faster, easier, and more clear.
Viber is where we chat. You can send messages, but the REAL magic is in the voice memos, instant calls, message forwarding, and screen sharing.
Tip: Talking is 6x faster than typing. Speed up communication with voice memos instead of typing.
Gone are the days of emailing Microsoft documents back & forth. By keeping all our docs in Google Drive, collaboration and editing is a breeze.
Tip: When commenting in a doc, tag someone else to trigger an email alert that prompts them to respond.
Saving everything in the Dropbox cloud means our files are synced across our computers, and the “Rewind” feature means we never worry about accidentally deleting files.
Tip: Mark files synced to your computer “online only” to keep them visible but save disk space.
For those of you on remote teams: what apps do you rely on?
